Ian is willing to help and is keen to be involved with our work: cool
09/02/06 Met with Ian. Met with Neil who works as a programmer @ key-3d
Meeting details
- Site designs discussed.
- Long story short we decided we all pretty much liked this site: Key Civil
- Design is important and we all agreed to present a design to Key-3d; this seems applicable because if we didn't have a good initial design the project simply won't be good.
- Major concerns
- We really need to get clear roles sorted out for each of us: we can't all do the same thing past iteration 1
- We need to have agreed upon a colour scheme (I don't think there's much wrong with the current site: let's not become victims of fashion over this)
- We need to get the site's architecture mapped out
- We need to produce iteration 1 as rapidly as possible, and I would suggest we need to agree on a design before the next meeting.
- Next meeting date 03/03/06
03/03/06
Meeting details
- Discussed colours and design issues
- Agreed upon some roles for each of us
- Vanessa to look at CSS, in particular which fonts work together. Which sizes and colours work together.
- Jonathan to look at making a template for flash that can be integrated into the site: also some useful images are to be sent to Jonathan.
- I am to look at tabbed interfaces for the site: see them here
- Next Meeting 24/03/06 ... I think
24/03/06
Meeting cancelled at student's request, and rescheduled.
04/04/06
Meeting details
- Tabbed interface accepted - on the understanding fonts and colours can be changed.
- I am to look at integrating JavaScript into the tabbed menus that have been designed.
- Ian has decided to use tables as a means of layout. Tables are to be used to order the content that lies beneath the tabbed interface.
- Agreed that someone needs to design the site's architecture.
- Agreed that some graphical aspects to the sire's design need not be finished - as Ian is adept in the use graphical applications.
- Agreed that time, as usual, is moving on.
Next meeting to be raised as and when
22/04/06
Email - with some technological conflict :)
- It's been decided that the iteration Jonathan has supplied is meeting many of Ian's requirements.
- Now we are getting somewhere!
- I've looked at the JavaScript and it is not as difficult as i thought - so we should be okay on that side -
- Still need to get a decision over CSS for the sub pages.
- Possibility of a site map
Next meeting
25/04/06 @ 16:00
Canceled ...
We are all feeling the pressure slightly. I've had trouble with the JavaScript - and it's not going to be included in any of the stuff i hand in.
Next meeting
16/05/06
I think we need to agree we can't do much more until after the exams. I don't think I'll be working on the site until after we've finished the exams. Just to let you know I'm going to stop posting here now (13/05/06) - I need this for an appendix, I've finished both reports and I need to tie things up. Sorry if anyone else is /was using this.
